New American Schools (NAS) and School Funding Services (SFS) are joining forces with the American Institutes for Research (AIR), one of the nation's premier education research organizations. We are very enthusiastic about the opportunity to bring AIR's research and institutional capacity to NASí professional consulting services for school districts, state departments of education, charter authorizers, and education service providers.

After the merger, which will officially take effect in January 2005, New American Schools will function as the consulting arm of AIR. Both New American Schools and School Funding Services will retain our distinct and recognizable identities in the education arena.
