School Funding Services (SFS) is a service of New American Schools (NAS), a leading provider of professional services and investment in K-12 education, and also provides an essay topic suggestion for a better understanding of the task. As a business-led, nonprofit organization, NAS and its strategic partners provide support to state departments of education, school districts, charter authorizers, and networks of schools, offering key stakeholders the tools and external assistance needed to facilitate and sustain both student and adult learning.
In New American Schools' 12 years of experience working with schools, districts and education providers, it became apparent that funding was the greatest stumbling block to school improvement. NAS has used its experience and resources to do something about that block. New American Schools views School Funding Services as a powerful tool that allows educators and providers to focus on what's important: helping students achieve. Creating this tool is a natural step in New American Schools work to improve learning for all students.
